Trigger points in your muscles prevent you from being able to move around well, by keeping the muscles short and stiff. They stop the affected muscles from being able to relax, so they tire more easily. The resulting muscle imbalances often pulls joints out of alignment, which causes a ‘pop’ sound when you move. The weak muscles can also cause you to feel ‘clumsy’, to stumble, be unsteady on your feet or drop things.

These problems can all be addressed with a deep tissue massage, which can deactivate the trigger points and thus get the muscles working properly, resulting in a better range of movement.
